Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey

New AD Workshop

Colleagues,

Please see below and share with new and limited experienced Athletic Directors in your county and leagues and conferences.  The DAANJ and NJSIAA are again offering a 1 day workshop for new and limited experience Athletic Directors at NJSIAA in Robbinsville next month on Wednesday, 8/22/18.  Presentations will be provided by members of the DAANJ and NJSIAA staff, pertaining to vital and relevant topics addressing all phases of Athletic Administration.  LTI 501 (Leadership Training Institute) one of the many courses provided by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) will be offered as well.  LTI 501 is entitled GUIDING FOUNDATIONS AND PHILOSOPHIES, it is the flagship course of Leadership Training program and serves as an overview for interscholastic athletic administration. This course introduces the philosophy of educational athletics then focuses on the roles of the NIAAA, the NFHS, the State Athletic/Activity Associations, and the State Athletic Administrator’s Associations. The course also previews the NIAAA Leadership Training and Certification Programs. It is a prerequisite for all four levels of certification and includes study materials for the CAA Certification.  We are requesting that no county, leagues or conferences AD meetings be held on Wednesday, 8/22/18 so that new and limited experience Athletic Directors are free to attend this important workshop.  Please take advantage of this professional development opportunity if you are new to Athletic Administration this year or the past 3 years and have not already done so.

Thanks for your consideration.
